What to know first

Shortest path: Tap the MIUI / HyperOS version 7 times → enable Developer Options → turn on USB Debugging → turn on Install via USB → confirm the trust / authorization prompt when connecting.

Enable Developer Options

Open Settings → About phone, then tap MIUI version or HyperOS version 7 times until Developer Options become available.

Check: A system message confirming developer status means the option is enabled.

Turn on USB Debugging

Go to Settings → Additional settings → Developer options and enable USB Debugging. Keep the device unlocked during connection so authorization prompts are visible.

Turn on Install via USB

Inside the same Developer Options screen, enable Install via USB. This helps stabilize the connection path used during Mobile Edition workflows.
